Whirlpool microwave oven - fan does not start when the outside temp is below about 50deg? I have a Whirlpool microwave mounted over my stove. It was installed by our builder with a vent to the outside. Whenever the outside temperature drops below about 50 degrees the interior fan does not start immediately - the colder the outside temperature the longer it takers to start. Today it gave an F7 error message. It started to work after a few presses of the start button. Can someone tell me what is happening and what I can do to fix it?
can I mount a whirlpool microwave on the same bracket as my whirlpool estate was on? I'm replacing a microwave, and I currently have a whirlpool estate over the range model from 2004. I would like to replace it with a new model, but it is just a plain ol' whirlpool over the range microwave (not estate). Are the mounting brackets universal with that brand, or will I have to hire someone to intall the new microwave? Thanks!
does anyone know where to find the instruction manual for whirlpool microwave? while I was using the microwave(whirlpool's AVM585), i accidentally clicked "Cook Time" twice and well, i don't know how to undo it, and i don't have the instruction manual anymore, does anyone know where to find the instruction manual for this thing?
Do all over the range microwaves mount the same? I am looking at buying a used Whirlpool microwave that was mounted against a wall to replace my Hotpoint microwave that is mounted over an island (under cabinets & cabinets on the side with a board covering the back). They are both 30" wide. I'm wondering if the mounting parts are universal so I could use the same parts. The guy selling his says he only has the wall mount. Is this a difficult job? Why has my Whirlpool microwave oven suddenly lost power? Our house is 7.5 years old and has been sitting a little over a year due to a foreclosure from previous owners. We have been living in it for approx 2 weeks. Today, out of the blue, I walk in the kitchen and look at the time and noticed that there wasn't one on the microwave. I checked the circuit breakers, no blown fuse there. I unplugged it and plugged the can opener into that receptacle and it powered on, so no problem there. I then plugged the microwave into a different receptacle and no power. What gives?

How do you turn off the keytouch beeps on a Whirlpool Gold microwave? I don't mind the "it's done" beep but I don't need a beep to tell me I pressed something on the keypad...I can read it on the screen. Whirlpool over the range microwave is making 'plopping' 'thumping' sounds. Any idea what is wrong?? Whirlpool 'over the range' microwave is making 'plopping' 'thumping' sounds when I use it at any setting (1-10) for any amount of time. It is not from the ventilation part running. Some people call it a wave guide... How to use timer on Whirlpool microwave (M595) without cooking? The specific Model is M595, or AVM595/WP/WH, but I assume most Whirlpool Microwaves are the same. We bought one that did not come with a manual, and they are often advertised with a "timer". Our old microwave could time without having to actually cook something, and assume this microwave can as well. (For this such as cooking in oven, or frying pan when timer is needed). But we have yet to figure out how to use it without actually having to put something IN the microwave to cook... Is it possible, and how do you do it?

Whirlpool microwave won't cook.? I have a ten year old Whirlpool Gold above the range microwave. During the last two months, when the microwave is started, it starts...pauses for about one second...and resumes starting and cooking. Whirlpool microwave - shorted curcuit board - any hope of a fix? My Whirlpool MH1150XM microwave night light shorted and burned part of the circuit board. Figured it's shot if I can't fix so I can't mess it up worse than it is. I soldered some small solid wire in where connections were burned. Didn't fix it. Still exactly the same. Control panel works but no functions work. Is there anything else I can check like fuses or resets or anything before I throw it away? Don't really have cash to buy another right now. The apt I just moved into has a Whirlpool microwave serial# FL42506348 and model# MH6300XM-0 and a manufacture date of June 1984. It has a big crack on the plastic on the bottom of the door but it seems to be on the outside only. question on old microwaves and DISH? this maybe a dumb question, but here goes. my whirlpool microwave is about 25 years old i guess. bought around 1985. we have a mobile home we go to on the weekends. we also have a dish satelite and dvr to watch tv. whenever i use the microwave, the dish loses its signal and goes crazy. meaning, either says lost signal or during the time i am usuing the microwave, the picture and sound is fuzzy and skips. it appears to be on recorded programs, since we rarely watch live tv so we can skip commercials. at home, have a built in microwave purchased 1995 and also have dish. we have no problems at home, but wonder due to the age of the old one and possibly all the metal in the mobile home, is that the reason for lost tv reception? or are the older microwaves not insulated? we are thinking of getting a newer one, but dont want to purchase if a new one would have the same results, since this old one works fine. another reason with the metal in the mobile home problem is that i cannot use my cell phone. the metal blocks and cant use inside. i have to go outside to talk or leave on the deck to hear ring if someone calls. so i question if it is the metal or the difference of old vs new microwaves causing the problem. thanking in advance
Microwaves keep dying? Back in October, my 13 month old Whirlpool microwave died. I replaced it with a new GE microwave and it just died today. Both of them acted the same way. They power on and will stay on as long as I'm not using them. As soon as I start cooking, they shut off. I'm thinking there may be an electrical problem with the house or at least, in the kitchen. I sometimes get flickering lights in there.

Light Bulb And Filter In Microwave? I have a built in Whirlpool microwave. The light built does not work anymore after just 1 1/2 years. There is no information in the user manual. I asked Whirlpool Customer Service, they want to rip me off with an expensive repair service for just a light bulb. It seems that it is impossible to remove the light bulb. I cannot unscrew it. It looks like I have to disassemble the unit. Does anybody know how to change this light bulb? There is also a dirty filter, which cannot be removed. How can I clean it? I cannot hire a handyman. That would cost as much as a shopping cart with food for my family.
Whirlpool Microwave F-7 Error? My microwave is screwed up, I tried unplugging it, and hitting all the buttons (In case it was screwed up). It was all good until I had drunk friends over, and that is when it happened. Other then that it usually takes a few seconds then F-7 error pops up. every now and then it works for a few minutes but doesn't heat it up at all.

ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE INTERIOR THERE IS A METAL PLATE THAT COVERS THE MAGNETRON. CLOSE TO THE TOP OF THE METAL PLATE THERE WAS A HOLE BURNED IN IT THE SIZE OF A QUARTER. I REMOVED THE PLATE TO INSPECT. THERE IS A RECTANGLE HOLE W-4", H-1", THE HOLE WAS BURNED THRU THE METAL PLATE IN THE MIDDLE OF THAT OPENING. THE MAGNETRON ROD SITS BELOW THE BURN ABOUT 1/2". THE TOP AND SIDE LOOKS LIKE SOOT FROM A FIRE, IT WASHED OFF. QUESTION??? IS IT SAFE TO USE? WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS. THE METAL PLATE I SUPPOSE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. Cheaper Microwave Light Bulb? I have a Whirlpool microwave and the light bulb does not work anymore after just 1 year. What just happened to my microwave? I have a Whirlpool Gold Series microwave. I made a bag of popcorn in the microwave. Two minutes and five seconds. After about a minute I heard a really, really loud pop. Ran to the microwave, opened it up, and the rotating plate was in two pieces. What just happened? Is it normal for that particular plate to break?
Connecting a new microwave capacitor? I have a Whirlpool microwave oven and the capacitor went out. I ordered a new one but, like a knucklehead, didn't plug the old one back in so I'd know where the leads went. Can anyone help? One fat red wire comes from the magnetron but has a ground loop spliced in at the end along with the female "plug" that plugs into one of the male "prongs" of the capacitor. The transformer has two wires with female "plugs"; one fat and one skinnier red wire. The capacitor is an Aerovox N50H2195G36R with two "receptacle sockets" I guess you'd say; each socket containing four male "prongs". If it matters, the microwave's model number is GM8131XEB - 0 and the serial number is FGH4701976. I don't know which is worse, not having the microwave or my wife giving me the "how could you be so dumb" look. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank You
How to fix a microwave? My whirlpool microwave does not heat food. It turns on and everything works except it won't warm food. HELP
Microwave diode wire broke? I have a Whirlpool microwave that I'm slowly "purchasing" part by part (not by intention!). I've spent so much on parts already that it's almost become a personal thing. I replaced the capacitor (twice!), the magnetron and in the process, broke the wire coming out of the diode (to ground). That little darn part is $36 from Whirlpool (plus shipping of course). There's about a 1/64 inch "nub" of wire poking out of the diode. Can I file back a 1/4 inch or so and solder the wire back on? If I can do this, will a damp rag wrapped around the plastic diode prevent damage? The diode still tests "good" (part no. 4359639 if it matters) so I hate to pitch it and I really hate to put any more money in parts for this oven! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike
Where does a charcoal filter go on an over the range microwave? Can you set up a whirlpool over the range microwave to vent through a charcoal filter before blowing into the outside vent duct? Or is the charcoal filter only usable for interior venting?
Which hotel is better The Signature at MGM or thehotel at Mandalay Bay? I will be staying in Las Vegas in January, what is the weather like around that time? I wanted to stay in a nice suite and these two hotels look really nice, slightly different then the other.
