Why will my brand new EM-S2297V/BK Sanyo Microwave not heat up or turn the inside glass plate? This brand new microwave will count down from the time set, but it will not turn the inside glass plate or heat the food up inside. Can anybody help me please? It would be really appreciated.

My sanyo microwave had bad door microswitch which I replaced. Now the motor runs when door is open.? Thanks Scorpio. I tried to change the wires but no luck. sanyo microwave is tripping power supply? My microwave was working fine, I was boiling rice in it and it got really steamy, now it keeps tripping the power supply in the house every time it is plugged in, can it be repaired or will it dry and be usable again, if so how long. Looking for Crab Dip Recipe from old Sanyo Microwave Oven Book? Does anybody have the crab dip recipe that came in the book that accompanied the Sanyo microwave oven in the mid/late 1980s? It called for a can of crab meat, cream cheese, Heinz Chili Sauce, dried onion flakes and I can't remember what else. I think they recommended serving it with corn chips (like Fritos - it was soooo good). I lost the book in a long-ago move and the recipe with it. Would love to have it again. It might be HP Fruit Sauce not Heinz chili sauce that's in it. I can't remember.

Could 17 fridge magnets; damaged a 800 Watt microwave because it wont heat again ? My husband (accidentally) put 17 fridge magnets on a microwave, Sanyo 800 Watt, 0.6 cubic feet. Later, he heated a soup. I saw these magnets and put them away. I tried to heat another soup, but it didn't heat at all, after trying two times (1 minute and 3 minutes duration). I saw old postings saying magnets wont harm microwave based on his/her physics theories. Now i'm in doubt. Please explain. Thanks.

Any ideas on microwave having convection & grill option? I've bought a new Sanyo mircowave EMD975W having convection & grill & microwave options. Also what is convection option actually meant for? What type of plate can be used in all above options? Also what type of plate can be used in any of the above combination options? Could some1 please guide how to use and how to clean also. I steam chicken with water in a plate (for my dog) in the microwave, won't this water affect the microwave.The roof & door of my previous microwave got rusted but I'm not sure whether it was due to the water from steaming chicken.This time I wouldn't want my new microwave to get rusted too & hence ask your expert opinions to help me. Also, in the new oven, I continue to heat up chicken in some water in microwave mode. How do I prevent the rust problem for recurring.

Dilemma - Do I turn in my neighbors Parrot? My neighbor is a retired merchant marine. He has a wonderful African Grey parrot. This bird was a talker, maybe a hundred or more words and he does tricks. I was sitting at home and heard a terrible racket coming from next door.My neighbor was drunk and decided to give his pet a bath. All was well untill he decided to dry it off in the microwave. I pulled the parrot out of the Sanyo and found it was not doing too well. I think it is blind and fear it may now be sterile. Now, all day long all I hear is this parrot reapeat the same two words - Help me, help me, help me...over an over. My question is this...should i make a complaint about this bird making a nusiance of itself with this non-stop crying for help. I mean it is really getting on my nerves. Or, should I ignore this as the microwaves seem to have affected it's little parrot brain? suggestions please.

Is it a problem to put an oven on top of a fridge? I live in Japan, and here they do not have dedicated ovens, they have oven/microwave combo machines. The machine I'm looking at goes up to 250 C and I wanted to put it on top of my fridge, but now I am worried this might be a bad idea. Should this be a problem. stupid question, but is there a way i can get money for old appliances? I have two TVs, one is i think 20-30 inches. its an older tv. its a sanyo its not a flat screen or HD or anything. and the other one is a tiny TV. same thing, its older. they both turn on but dont really work. the bigger one has something wrong with it, no picture will come up. i also have a microwave that will turn on but really doesn't work. is there something like a recycling place i can take these to or some kind of shop that will pay people for usable parts? because if there is i would like to do that. also i could really use the money. i live in central new york if that makes a difference.

How do I keep the power on medium on my Sanyo microwave EM-S8586W/V or do I have to change power everytime? The microwave has 10 power levels but it seems everytime I want to use it I have to manually adjust the power. It automatically defaults to the highest, but is there a way I can set the power level to something lower and keep it there?
