Microwave Problems

microwave problems, help ASAP. 10 points!?

My microwave suddenly stopped working as I was heating up a glass of milk last night. My microwave hasn't been working since. What could have cause this to happen? thank you.

1. Did you have a spoon in the cup? :P I destroyed my microwave because of that xD
2. It may have shorted or something and died. It happens.
3. Microwaves wear out. Maybe its fused, Maybe its just time to get a new one. Maybe its overloaded. Anyways, if your not trained to fix it, dont open the cover, call an electision or get a new one, there maybe 100,000 volts stored in the coils, even if its not been on for months!
4. That happened to me too. They're not made to be repaired, you'll have to buy a new one.
5. Some of the appliances in my house are connected to the same electrical line, so if I turn them on at the same time they will turn off. Did you have another appliance that was on at the same time the microwave was on that could perhaps be connected to the same line? If that was the case, you would need to go to your circuit breaker box to turn it back on. If not, sorry I couldn't be of more help.
6. If the display is out, try another outlet. You might have used it the same time as the toaster and tripped a breaker.
