Microwave Problems

Is my microwave broken?

I've had a mcirowave for 10+ years, Sanyo, worked great. When I moved I noticed it was makeing a small clicking noise. Now the noise is gone, but the foods are super heated with less then the "usual" time. Should I replace it, or just adjust the times.

  1. I checked a microwave repair site, but they don't deal with microwaves that superheat, only ones that don't heat at all. However, they do have an option to ask the Repair Guru a question. Click on this link http://www.repairclinic.com/0088_6_1.asp and scroll down until you see "Note" in bold type. In that paragraph is a link to e-mail your question to the Repair Guru.
  2. For now, as long as the clicking noise has stopped, I'd continue using the microwave but adjust the cooking time. If that doesn't work, you may have to purchase a new microwave. Good luck!
  3. You can get a new microwave for less than 25pounds at Tescos or Argos i would throw the other one out as what's 25pounds to a spell in hospital with food poisoning
