Microwave Problems

stupid question, but is there a way i can get money for old appliances?

I have two TVs, one is i think 20-30 inches. its an older tv. its a sanyo its not a flat screen or HD or anything. and the other one is a tiny TV. same thing, its older. they both turn on but dont really work. the bigger one has something wrong with it, no picture will come up. i also have a microwave that will turn on but really doesn't work. is there something like a recycling place i can take these to or some kind of shop that will pay people for usable parts? because if there is i would like to do that. also i could really use the money. i live in central new york if that makes a difference.

2. Sometimes used appliance stores will take them for repair parts. A tv is usually considered hazardous material. Good luck on getting $$$ out of them! Just be happy you got rid of them. Leave them outside near the curb or driveway, and somebody will probably steal them, thinking they are getting something good, lol.
