Is it safe to paint the inside of microwave?
Hello, I burnt food in my microwave which left yellow stain on the walls. So i used Easy-Off heavy duty oven cleaner. I sprayed and let it stand overnight. Next day, As i was wiping the chemicals off i think the cleaner also took off a layer of paint. The areas are large. Whole inside bottom and lower part of the side walls. I saw places that sold microwave touch up paint. Can i use that to repaint? It's a built in microwave too expensive to replace. Thankyou.

- if it says microwave touchup paint...um well the name says it all ....
- Check the stores that have Microwave paint in stock and read the directions on the can to see if will do the job for you, if you can contact some suppliers by email you could check with them as well, I really think that you will be able to paint the inside, but do get some advice before you start.
- any type of high heat spray paint will do ,being as it doesn't contain metal or lead, make sure you give it enough time to cure before putting anything eatable in it.then burn one for me.
- If you go to an appliance store they should have the correct paint. Just follow the directions.
- before you painting anything call the company and see what they recommend, some people will paint anything remember that a microwave gives off a tremendous amount of radioactive waves, the pint cold become toxic.
- No. I would think most microwaves are enamel baked and applying paint after it has been done and using the microwave, would just make the paint peel and do bad things to whatever you're eating. Microwaves are cheap anyway, just buy a new one if need be.
