  1. NO. You can buy a new one if it goes out. It should come with a 1 year warranty already. Extended warranties are a rip off on anything other than a car - and sometimes even for a car it is not a good investment.
  2. If you really want a warranty, try www.squaretrade.com. They offer warranties at 23 or less than the stores, and they will cover accidental damage, which the store warranties will not. If you can afford to replace it if it fails, I would not buy the warranty. They usually cost far more than they are worth.
  3. No, it's usually cheaper to just go out and buy a new one.
  4. If it won't last 3 years without repairs what is the world coming to? I don't even think my last microwave cost 116. that was 7 years ago and it still runs as good as new. Sorry, I think there are too many insurance salesmen, and I have never had any good luck getting the service anyway
  5. Countertop.. no. Built in... yes.
  6. Extended warranties on most appliances are a waste of money. My microwave has lasted over 15 years.
