What happens if you microwave a microwave?
If you put a smaller microwave inside a larger one? and turn them both on?

- you get radiation poisonging and DIE!
- the outside microwave oven would burn out, same as any microwave oven if you put a large metal object inside and turned it on. .
- A microwave oven needs something in it that will absorb the microwaves. Food, water and the like work well. Metal does not absorb the microwaves, but rather reflects like a mirror. The inner microwave oven would not be an absorptive load for the outer microwave oven. Consequently, the magentron (the microwave generator) in the outer over would overheat. With luck, the thermal trip that is located on the magnetron's heat sink would trip and kill power to the outer microwave oven before damage occured. If it thermal sensor didn't trip fast enough, the outer oven's magnetron would be damaged and require repair or replacement.
