Microwave Problems

How do I keep the power on medium on my Sanyo microwave EM-S8586W/V or do I have to change power everytime?

The microwave has 10 power levels but it seems everytime I want to use it I have to manually adjust the power. It automatically defaults to the highest, but is there a way I can set the power level to something lower and keep it there?
